the last time i broke my nail, yarn kept getting caught. snagging and
separating. this time disintegrating into the air.
barely caressing my peach fuzz.
i can’t stop thinking about your beard.
¿desde cuándo tenías tantas canas?
they have been subtle enough in my memory that i have allowed myself to forget
and forget. my dad is getting old.
i no longer know the intricacies of his daily life as i once did, i can only remember
in fragments, in repetitions.
the yarn keeps getting caught on my broken nail.
